CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION
Concrete is a construction material composed of cement, fine aggregates and coarse aggregates mixed with water which hardens with time. It is an essential part to most construction projects and is the most widely used construction material out there.
Concrete has many advantages over other construction materials. Some advantages are:
- It provides the lowest carbon footprint for structural or pavement over its lifecycle.
- Provides the ability to be casted into shape and has excellent water resistance capabilities compared to wood and steel.
- It is extremely strong and durable requiring low maintenance to prolong its lifecycle.
- Can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle and used in other concrete projects as filler.
